      We have quantitatively evaluated generation mechanisms of a sporadic sodium layer (SSL) based on observational data obtained by multiple instruments at a high-latitude station: Ramfjordmoen, Tromsø, Norway (69.6° N, 19.2° E).       A new fve-wavelength photometer was developed and installed at the EISCAT Tromsø site (69.6°N, 19.2°E) in January 2017.
